The magazine Finanz und Wirtschaft presents its annual ranking of Swiss advisory boards. Overall, the bodies are in good shape, but have fewer and fewer opportunities to answer strategic key questions. Franco Taisch notes that the entrepreneurial leeway has decreased, making it difficult to recruit qualified management boards.
In 2015, directors of Swiss companies were engaged in a variety of subjects, for instance the abandonment of the euro minimum exchange rate, measures due to the adoption of the Swiss mass immigration initiative or the continuing digitalisation of the corporate world. According to Taisch, the latter is an issue where companies still have difficulties and “are too much in the reaction mode and too little in the action mode”.
